"You are interested in nothing" and "Find any activity for yourselves" are the phrases, which can be often heard from contemporary parents. But what can we really do to make our children become interested? - Have you ever thought about it?
Of course, we want our child to show an interest, it is a nice decision, but the interest for what? We want our son or daughter to be doing something, but what in particular? - Is it a high time to purchase kids ride on cars for sale or perhaps we should wait a bit?
Here are some tips, which can help your children to feel an interest in anything special.
1. Set a definite goal
Make a clear list of different types of activities to which you would like to involve your child. A great variant will be to try the so-called "test sessions". In this case, the child could get an idea of various things like dancing, sports, musical instruments, science, and gardening. And you would understand what is causing your child's exceptional interest in order to study this direction more deeply. Does he/he love animals? Are the martial arts movies interesting? - Try to find out the background of this appreciation, then. As a result, your daughter may be a volunteer at an animal shelter or begin to ride a horse. And your son may want to learn more about the kung fu or how to make films. Both hobbies seem to be rather amazing.
2. Think about requirements
According to the specialists' point of view, it will be rather useful to set some reasonable, but at the same time not very complicated in their implementation requirements for children. For example, to discuss the tasks, which he/she has to perform at home. All in all, it won't help you in your housework, but it will be extremely helpful for your relationship. And for the baby, it will be much easier to understand what you are expecting from him/her.
Motivation can be developed, like any habit. When you are constantly expecting some duties fulfillment from your child, it will teach your son or daughter to participate actively in the family life. You see, in the course of time, the amount of these tasks will be increased, but the child will be ready for this. This awareness can be a powerful force opposing passivity and interest loss.
3. Show by your personal example
Parents often tend to give lectures and to start didactic conversations, but they pay less attention to the influential opportunities to children. However, the parental personal example usually has the greatest impact on kids. You can use your own model of life, in order to develop character, interests, and motivation of the child. For example, if you like doing something outside the home, take your child with you. Museums, any social or political events, sports, kids power wheels competitions, volunteering, no matter what. The main thing is that you do it together and enjoy the process. First of all, taking the baby, you will motivate your child and then strengthen your relationship.
4. Develop skills
Many skills can be developed in the child even without personal examples. But it is important to help him/her to acquire some new knowledge and skills. Perhaps, it will be a hobby for many years and will become rather useful for your child's social involvement. For example, music lessons do not only teach to play a musical instrument. As a result of the numerous participations in concerts and school orchestras, your kid may find new acquaintances among musicians and it will motivate him/her.
5. Giving hidden clues
How to persuade a passive child to take an interest even to something? By doing it carefully, of course, but without any press.
We often don't even aware of the little things and details that are influencing our decisions and actions. Our brain is constantly busy processing a great amount of information, which is often elaborated at an unconscious level.
Books, magazines, sports equipment, musical instruments, and toys are always ready to help. Let these motivating things will always be in the child's view. It does not require much effort, just let them lie where they are very easy to be noticed. This method can bring very substantial results. But mind that it is very important to allow the child to interact with such items.
6. Encourage the communication
Encourage your child when he/she invites his/her friends to your home. When your home is open to friends, it turns it in a central place of family life and makes it possible to exert a stronger influence on the child for a long time. Reaching adolescence, children are often separated you from the friends, so just use the chance.
